The Essex Boy of Masc. Intent 2021
This current project I am working on revolves around the themes of identity in relation to space, specifically this idea of ‘Home’.
I have been living in Essex for a large portion of my life and all throughout the Covid-19 pandemic I have been struggling to make work, but I have grown attached to my county and the stereotypes that persist within it.
I was inspired by the book ‘Essex Girl’s’ by sarah Perry, to explore the cultural significance of the Essex stereotypes, first with the green hexaptych looking at masculinity
